Wow, it’s a remarkable day for Tapulous. Today, we announced that we are joining Disney. We will be a key part of Disney Interactive Media Group, spearheading their drive to be the leader in mobile entertainment.

As part of Disney Interactive Media Group, we’ll develop more games, more quickly and with the resources of the world’s leading entertainment company. We will continue to develop apps that live at the intersection of music and gaming, but we’ll also push into new and exciting areas of mobile social entertainment. We’re literally bursting with ideas for new apps!

The last two years we’ve been on an amazing ride. We started Tapulous because we love the iPhone. We believed it would change everything, and we wanted to build fun, beautiful apps that tapped into its incredible entertainment power. And we did…

Tap Tap Revenge has been a success beyond our wildest dreams. It’s still the most popular game series on the App Store, with over 35 million downloads and a billion songs played! But it’s about more than numbers…almost everyday I meet players who are crazy for the game, just like me!

Krohn7master won the Ultimate Tapdown contest held recently earning eternal bragging rights and one thousand dollars. Check out this interview with Krohn7master to get his tips & strategies as well as what he’s going to do with one grand in cash, because apparently, he won’t be giving it to me.

Tapulous: So, Krohn, how long have you been playing Tap Tap Revenge? What was your first Tap Tap app?

Krohn7master: I’ve been playing for about 17 months and my first Tap Tap app was Tap Tap Revenge 1. The first song I played was You’re Gonna Go Far, Kid by the Offspring.

Tapulous: Nice. You’ve been around a while. Great song, by the way. How did you practice for the Ultimate Tapdown? Any special tap-fu tecnhiques?

Krohn7master: I mostly just played the songs in the “Food Lovers” room inside of the Extreme Online category.

Tapulous: Do you have any favorite Tap Tracks to practice on?

Krohn7master: Battle Royale by The Word Alive is by far my favorite song in the game, and it’s also my favorite song to play to. If I get tired of it, I’ll play Death In Fire by Amon Amarth.

Tapulous: Also good songs to bang out to! Now that you’ve climbed the mountain top, what advice would you give to Tapper’s-in-Training who are looking at you with a bulls-eye on your back?

Krohn7master: Watching other pros play this game was definitely a big help for me when I began high-scoring in Tap Tap Revenge. By doing this, you can learn the best ways to hold your iPod when you play; and that is by far the most important step in high-scoring. There are three grips which I strongly recommend. I personally use two thumbs to play, and I find that the easiest. You can watch me play the hardest songs by going to http://www.youtube.com/krohnindustry/.

There is also a three finger grip, also known as the DXChain grip, and you can watch it in action at http://www.youtube.com/chaindude84/ And finally, you can just simply lay your iPod flat on a surface and play. Check it out here at http://www.youtube.com/beacheagle1/

Tapulous: I’m going to check out those videos and get tapping soon as we’re done with this interview. Now that you’ve won the tournament, what are you going to do with your prize money of $1000 dollars?

Krohn7master: Hah, I really have no idea. There is a lot you can do with that money. I will probably end up buying an iPad so I can play Tap Tap Radiation and the other Tapulous apps on it. Metallica Revenge and Tap Tap Radiation are the two Tapulous apps I recommend playing on the iPad, and I think buying one would be worth the experience.
