2. Crank up those teeny-tiny iPhone / iPod speakers, or better yet, plug into your boombox’s line in. (Note: all cool people carry a boombox wherever they go)
3. Go to a public place and start tapping.
4. Get your head noddin’, your booty shakin’, and your feet stompin’. If you can, occasionally moonwalk.
5. Watch the party form around you!

This one is easy. Download and play Datarock’s Fa-Fa-Fa in Tap Tap Revenge 3. Every score you submit ABOVE 250,000 points counts as one contest point. The player with the most contest points at the end of the contest is the grand prize winner. The next 5 players with the most points get the runner-up prizes. You can play on easy or hard — as long as you get over 250,000 points.
The contest runs from Friday, January 29th at 12:01 AM through Tuesday, February 2nd at 11:59 PM. You must submit your scores in Tap Tap Revenge 3, while online, during the contest period for entry into the contest.

Track: Its decent. But it could use an extreme taptrack…
Theme: red on red? This is just about as bad as the NIN theme was. The only person who could possibly stand it would be Pixel Sage…oh, so that’s why he’s first…

Ok I guess. Still though, Celtic Thunder beats Datarock 10 to 1 in contemporary because contemporary isn’t about hiphop it’s about a mix of Pop/Rock with a swang if you know what I mean. CelticThunder’s new CD, It’s Entertainment, comes out February 9, the day after Riddim Ribbon. (How about that?) Here’s the Amazon link:

Tapulous: The music is fairly good, IMO. I don’t see this as much of an “evolution” in pop, but quite the opposite – more a retro kickback to 70s disco-style music. I also agree with Thebitingcat on the theme – it’s obnoxious. Wish the 3 rails could be made into straight stripes instead of a grid of squares, and the band’s name moved to the top. And change the color of the tapper squares to black or something while you’re at it.
Thebitingcat: Although I am very happy for you that you (unlike me) have a life, I would like to know if wherever you work is willing to hire telecommuter employees so that I can have a life. XD

Trekluver: CT FTW over Datarock, certainly. Good luck in having CT on TTR3, though, as it seems that the TTR library rarely listens to its customers when it comes to music requests. I’m not sure where they pull their music selections out of, honestly.

When are we getting music more than 2 people actually know about again, be it free or paid? TTR2 used to get loads of great songs, but now you seem to just be rehashing weird obscure songs these days.

Forgot to say, when I was among those who actually bought the app and some additional premium track packs, I was expecting frequent premium ones, in the same fashion as Tap Tap Thursdays; instead, we got those from the initial release, some more for Christmas and nothing else. Nearly 4 months after the initial release, the TTR3 track selection is still very disappointing when compared to the amazing ones TTR2 had.
I don’t mind paying for them, I just want some quality tracks! Stopped playing TTR3 ages ago when I got bored with the tracks I had…and unfortunately, none of the weekly updates has been all that appealing so far.

DUH Tapulous doesn’t own the record labels!! They can’t just GET Linkin Park… I’m sure they’re trying — I mean, people ask every week..
Why don’t YOU email linkin park about it! Ed’s said this before… if you want a band, TELL THE BAND YOU WANT THEM IN TTR.
It’s not Tapulous’ decision, it’s the bands decision. Tell them their fans want it….

hi tap tap. here i like datarock but i have a problem i was playing tap tap today at 1.25 am and i deleted by mistake the lions song by the features on hard so i conected my ipod to the internet at 9.00 and i check if a can get that song again and i cant because of DATAROCK tried do download it 4 free but it only gives me the medium track and it has the bug music cover theme not the features like before still have the wooden heart one and that one has that theme what can i do to get the lions song by the features again on hard and with the features cover theme..?

Hey tapulous, I have a question or two:) do people actually win these contests? now I don’t play just for the contest ( although a guitar would be pretty sweet), but I never hear about anyone ever winning. I’m guessing just the winners are notified….maybe I should try to win and find out

@??? – See the previous blog post before this one. I was one of the winners in last weeks contest and won an electric guitar (see they do sometimes announce the winners), and I’ve also won a different guitar through TTR quite a few months ago.
So YES, these contests are REAL, and people do win!

As far as winning contests goes, I do know that I (inadvertently) made it into the Top 1000 Ultimate Tapdown finalists’ ring last month, and that Tapulous did post right on their front page all of the people who were to move on to the finals. I wasn’t even thinking I’d make it, actually.
And as for that beaten-to-death but still unsolved issue of getting Tapulous to put more music on TTR3, well, I am starting to sense that they are ignoring their customers. Maybe they’re too busy with perfecting Riddim’ Ribbon and also have TTR3 enhancements/music packs up their sleeves. I hope so, at least.

HOW CAN I GET THIS SONG BACK? I recently switched iPhone’s and this song is nowhere to be found on the marketplace or in my account! I love this song and Animal by Neon Trees but can’t get them back!
