That tapping noise you’ve been hearing if you’ve walked past The Shop lately is the Tapulous crew hard at work putting the finishing touches on Tap Tap Revenge 3.
Sean secluded himself in Shanghai for extra special backend magicianery. Ed swore a specially selected group of Elite Testers to secrecy while they’re testing the beta builds. Krohn7master is spending the Summer with us making sure there will be no dropped taps. Zach is taking a break from his day job approving chat mods to hack in some crazy web features. Andrew’s writing code. Ernest is making green stuff. In short, this is going to be dope.

With the quintuple tap of the button hidden in the top-right-hand corner as the version number, the number 1 will appear on the screen and increase with each tap. Once it reaches 100, Tap Tap Revenge 4 beta will appear with the added bonus of enabling the iPod replace your toaster, while still allowing you to play Tap Tap Revenge.

A little known fact about TTR3 is that if you get a highscore within the top 34, 28 dancing gorillas singing cabaret will be holographically projected from the iPhone and if the projection hits your face, it will instantly and permanently tattoo the TTR3 logo onto your forehead. This logo will automatically launch TTR3 if pressed. This logo also contains a radioactive component that will cause you to dance if you are playing tap tap while waiting for a bus. Another side effect of the logo’s radiation is to cure “top ranking players are cheaters” syndrome.
If you try to resist the effects of the logo then TTR3 will start dropping taps in Trinary that if translated spells Resistance is Futile because TTR3 is AWESOME! The taps will stop dropping if you choose willingly to succumb to the effects of the logo.
The final side effect of the logo is to make cake several factors more delicious…

That was weird? On the serious side I think it will have the long awaited retry button, Per-to-Per (OS 3.0), More artists, and all the music I’ve been asking for (Celtic Thunder,Weird Al, and Jessie James), for a low, low price!!!!!! Yep that sounds like it to me! Oh well, I would buy songs by these artists but what would be convenient would be if tapulous could scan you iPod/iPhone and see the music on your device and instead of then buying the track in tap tap 3 they give it to you free! But I don’t think that they can for the sake of money! (I ment privacy, hee hee) Can’t wait for this game to come out! Hey also it would be cool if the $.99 this is going to cost could go towards your first song purchace. Now how does that sound?

Hmmmm… The crazy-est thing (sorry 4 my English) that can be in TTR3 is… Looping-mode where there is an looping in the “rail”. The “balls” can go tto the looping or can go directy to the tapping area. Hmmmm… Nice.
Or a No-Rail-Mode… The balls will bounce around, and you have to tap them when they come in the “tapping-area”. So… Maybe you have to use more than 3 fingers…

No this “Balls all over the screen mode” is only available on the iTablet set for release in 2039. It will also include a stare mode so you can stare at the balls instead of taping them, it’s briliant StareStareRevenge!

That sentence has set off alarm bells in my head. The beauty of Tap Tap Revenge 1 and 2 was that it was all free. I personally am too poor (student) to pay for all my new tracks. So what’s going on: will all the tracks cost money, or just some of them? Or is this just a badly worded sentence and they’re still free? (I’m praying it’s the latter…)

One of the TTR3 beta testers told me, they’ll have a Chuck Norris theme. The taps are little Nerds and if you hit a tap they’ll be splattered and blood will cover the screen. That’s why iTunes told tapulous that TTR3 can only be available for real badasses. You can achieve the real badass award in TTR2 by slamming your device into a wall.
But that’s just what I’ve heard so far. I hope tapulous will come clear about this rumor soon…

TTR 3 will be a big flop compared to the others. Why? Since the release of Envirobear 2010, every game has been mediocre. I expect this game will have terrible graphics, etc. This game will also be terrible because of the Pocket God Easter egg allowing you to tap pygmies instead of notes.
It’s a shame Tapulous has gone so downhill.

I have a great idea! There should be a button on the menu only visible to those worthy of seeing it, that, upon being pressed, takes every byte of data that makes up the game and re-arrange them physically in the real world. I think this would be a great feature because if a company like Tapulous wanted to give a away an autographed copy of the game, they could then make the winner worthy of seeing the invisible button so that a physical copy of the game could be created in order to be autographed. I really don’t know what I would do if this was not put into the game….. I would actually have to get a life…. No…. That would be unaccaptable…. I am too much of a tap tap addict…. Must….. Have….. Every track in Tap Tap 3 will include the vocals of Chuck Norris, and every “dot” you have to tap will now be fists. But, don’t expect to finish a song ever because Chuck Norris’ beginner is harder than playing on two iPhones at once with one hand on extreme.

They swore me to secrecy as a beta tester, but the features in 3 are too good to stay quiet about. They can send their Krohn7master to tap-tap me to death if they must, but the people need to know the truth!
Every minute you play TTR3, the game takes care of your responsibilities for you. It does the laundry, attends classes, and goes to all the annoying social functions you hate (you know, the ones where you try to sneak off to play TTR until they’re over but you keep getting caught). I don’t know how the game does all this for you — the programming is so complex I cannot decipher it — but I don’t care how it works, just that it does. I haven’t had to go to my boring job since starting on the TTR3 beta testing: I just play TTR3 all day and it takes care of my job for me.
It may be the most obvious step toward Tapulous taking over the world so far, but I don’t care. They can have the world as long as I have Tap Tap Revenge.

Then you must move to california to download the zulu version of tap tap revenge one. Then you must slam your iphone/itouch on the ground, lie down and try to beat all extreme levels with your nose ( using your nose like a finger) then you must send 1473$ to each creator of this amazing multifunctional app, and then ask them if they will sign the screen of your ipod nano in a pen made of ducks. TTR3 is going to be awesome!! Even I’m no longer a beta tester. But I think the number ONE (#1) new best feature will be a song made up of the Windows noises , beeps and startup sounds and the theme will be the blue screen of death ! With the tap balls themed as windows logos and skulls with cross bones and worms!!!!

I want to see at least one themed extreme track that unlocks DXChain himself upon FC’ing it. Ideally, the TTR3 credits would scroll past, followed by a giant DXChain head floating by that can be pulled, prodded, and rotated on several axes – similar to the giant Mario head in Mario 64 DS. Pinching, swiping, and slapping it around enough will cause it to squeal “It’s meeee, DXChain.” Then I want to see a full bio scroll past, answering such questions as “Just who is this Mr. Chain”; where does he live? What are his musical influences? What are his favorite foods? Where does he live?”
Then several remixed, extended versions of death metal-classical fusion songs become available for play.
I’m dead serious about these features – no joking.

A great feature would be Omgwtfbbq mode, where the tappers are completely random and out of sync, and have left and right shakes – at once. It will show 3 rows, but there is actually a 4th – nobody knows where the hell it is, but it’s the reason why your top score is 0.01, and -2%.

DXChain is the player who practically elevated the Tap Tap series to the level of professional sport by employing a noob-crushing combinaton of a special “grip” and superhuman tapping ability. He flushed the rest of us right down the toilet until a few (not me, really) were able to mutate so as to step up the tapping throughput and squeeze out a few competitive scores. Some of our scores would be squashed the moment they nudged into the top few places; with other scores he would hang back for short while and think of what do with them at his leisure. Might even hang them from a tree, out back somewhere, and poke and prod them while they twirled helplessly and pleaded for dear recognition. That, my friend, is the legend of DXChain. If you see him in these parts, I recommend that you run.

Well maybe TTR3 will only be $100 (o_O’),and you can download all the songs you want for another $5 then you’ll have to pay a fee every time you want to play the song you just downloaded,and not only that…the app will have 5 songs of your library that you can choose,well just for another $10,ooooh yes!!,while online playing you’ll have too choose the lite version for $.99 or the premium online version for $3…and every time you lose a game,,you’ll have to pay $.50
but if you win,just $.25 to continue playing,,also in 2 players mode you and your friend have to pay $2 ,YEEES!! just $1 per person!! I heard TTR 3 will introduce the much awaited 11th column. It will involve some special nose-taps and will require the use of your toes.
I also heard that there will be a hyper mode after extreme mode that only the pros can use with their super-speed fingers. And to make hyper mode even harder I heard that the tapulous will make use of the microphone and you can sing along to the song for bonus points or in the case of boss tracks it will listen out for clicking, whistling and humming noises from your mouth and stamping noises from your feet.
If you manage to get a 100% score in this mode, the phone will self-destruct, launching the built in confetti popper. Within 5 seconds the Tapulous team will beam you up to their spaceship where they will offer you to their alien overlords.
I also heard that Tapulous will be offering a special plug that interfaces directly with your brain. When you connect your iPhone through the dock connector into this plug, your brain acts as a control so that you only need to look at the sphere and nod your head to tap. Although this feature may only be implemented in NodNod Revenge until version 3.5 is released.

I also forgot to mention the blindfold mode. Rather than an actual blindfold, the iPhone screen goes blank and you have to tap to the beat rather than to what you see. You never know where the taps are and get points for how close you are to the sphere.

Tap Tap Revenge? 3? Autographed? That must be one of the greatest revelations of our time! It’s as if a magical hand of Jesus came down to Earth and said
“I grant you the power of Tap!”, except all of us had no idea what he was talking about because our idea of Tap Tap Revenge 3 was us rocking out with a whammy bar and singing into our iPhones and iPod Touches with built in microphones.
When Tap Tap Revenge 3 was released, however, it turned out that one lucky person had the honor of winning an autographed copy of the game and having their Tap Tap name go down on the online boards as a “Tap Tap Superstar”.
All in all, it seems that people love Tap Tap Revenge, and whether the series of applications, whether a gift from the Big Man himself or not, somehow became better than they already were, people became true masters of tapping an inatimate object with their thumbs and proudly declaring,

oh wow a TTR3. Can TTR2 even be upgraded? i think it would be awesome if during game play the way the screen is formatted changes! Like if your in portrait mode then during the game at any given moment you have to rotate your ipod landscape mode (doesnt matter which side) and then maybe back again. OR you can conpletely rotate the ipod 180 degrees if needed. that would be awesome!

Why not landscape mode and a editor where we can make game with our song? Maybe more gestures, to have a better game experience. Oh, a 3D experience in the game (it’s good to use our imagination).
But, what’s sure, it’s that Tap Tap Revenge 3 will be excellant, like Tap Tap Revenge 1 and 2.

Can’t wait! I think in-game purchase will come into the game with premium songs on the way. I see a ‘retry’ button. Yay! Possible Tap Tap Creater (to edit or create songs). Also, I think you will make a new Tap Tap Original song with all of the staff in the background as a theme!

Let’s see, I think that TTR3 is going to be like the coolest game! TTR2 is cool too, but you know with the leveling up mode, I think that you should be able to spend your points on getting like special songs. Then I am going to guess that there will be a whammy bar where you can’t miss the left or right arrows! That always screws me up! How else am I to play riding my Harley? What??? No one has tried it? Its fun! LOL

Why, Tapulous, why? Please tell me they’ll at least be free for the first week of their release, like they are now?
But as far as features go, I’d be shocked if there wasn’t a way to import your own songs, and then maybe the app would automatically use the song’s artwork to create its own theme! You could either have the game generate the orbs to tap or you could choose to manually put them in, for more accuracy. I would be upset if that wasn’t included, now that the songs are all paid.

What’s all this crazy talk about Chuck Norris and Exploding iPhones and Holographic Dancing Gorillas? I think you guys are confusing TTR3 with the random pics people post on Twinkle..
The new major feature in TTR3 is a sidegame called Tap Tap RPG. It seems pretty obvious with the whole “Experience Points” thing we got going on in the official screenshot above. You can deny it all you want Tapulous, but I have several inside sources that have already confirmed this like eight times. I have all the information on this new Tap Tap innovation including the critical storyline elements, main characters, areas, and sidequests. And of course, I’d be more than willing to talk about this new sidegame! Don’t worry, I promise I won’t spoil any of the plot-twists.
In TTRPG you begin your epic quest face down in the barren Great Tappin’ Desert. You awaken to find that all of your possessions are gone. You have no iPod, no coins, and no Tapulous Points. You begin to wander around in search of help but find nothing for hours. After roughly three hours of walking, you come across a cave. You cautiously walk inside the cave and notice two fires burning furiously in the center of the room. Between the sets of fire you see an old man, and he mutters the following words to you: “It’s dangerous to go alone! Take this.”
The old man points to a first generation iPod Touch lying in the middle of the room. Slightly confused and curious, you take the iPod that was offered to you and hold it high, thankful that you could come across such a thoughtful man in the middle of nowhere. You leave the cave and examine the iPod. The batteries are dead. Slightly saddened you continue to move on. Not far beyond the cave you see a road. You begin to slowly step toward the road, and in the Middle Of The Road you find a scroll. The words on the scroll are written in an incomprehensible language. Suddenly, the scroll begins glowing in your hands. Your iPod Touch 1G turns on and a screen comes up that says: “Tap Tap: The Revenge of Chain”. You stare at the screen in puzzlement when suddenly a car pulls over. A dark, mysterious, hooded figure walks out of the car. You notice the initials “D.X.” embroidered on his cloak. He walks up to you and says “Would you like a ride to town?”. You reluctantly accept his offer and your adventure begins…
That’s pretty much how the story starts off, but there are a ton of other features in the game. In the main town, PaloAltoville, there are a lot of places to go and things to do. There’s the Tapulous Lounge where you can rest and recover your HP and MP. There’s the training center, Power Tap, where you can train to level up your Attack and Defense skills. There’s also a Tapulous Store where you can buy iPod upgrades and other items with “Tapulous Coins”, which you earn in TTR3; 1 for every 1,000 points you get on a song.
I don’t exactly want to mention too much regarding the sidequests and story as I really don’t want to spoil any of the game. I guess I could mention the sidequest where you go to the Abyss of Dropped Taps in search for the Golden Retry Button, but even that’s kind of spoiling the game… TTRPG is really one of my all-time favorite RPGs to date, I’d even rate it higher than Earthbound which used to be my favorite. The way to story progresses is absolutely brilliant, I applaud you Tapulous for making such a remarkable game! I can’t wait until the public gets the opportunity to play this masterpiece.

I think that tap tap revenge 3 is just a big spoof that everyones getting their hopes up for and it probably going to get pushed out of the way for a twilight rpg just like Harry potter 6 was pushed to July from December. But then is going to end up being a house of the dead rythmical rail shooter. I mean tap tap domination. He obviously dominated the level with 87%. But instead of zombies it will have little circles that do the rythm of the song.
Or… It could end up being just the fix for the lagging on ttr2. It would be awesome either way. But tapulous has made us wait too long for just an ordinary rythm game. I would be surprised if it ended up being a historical game called… The history of tapping and you have to learn the art of tapping all over again. Maybe it will en up being based on one of those dubbed anime shows where there mouths don’t match there words. And it would be called… “the Crouching tapper hidden rythm”. And it will be released in japan first then they’ll realease it in U.S. And it will have dubbed cutscenes and be on of those cheasey platformers. With wicked corny voice acting.
But then again it could just be ttr2 with the 2 crossed out with a three on top and have the lagging fixed with a store that has one song one it called “banana pancakes” by Jack Johnson. Then people would just be happy to have tap tap revenge “3″.

Hm, one thing I’d like to see, is when you get challenged, that you could see what mode they’re challenging on.
More often than not I get challenged on easy or medium and that’s pretty annoying xDD

I think that they are going to have a few things:
1-the ability to use tapulous points to create songs for ttr3 using songs from your music library
2-import tracks from premium, classic, and ttr2.
3-an all new restart button!
