HOW TO PARTICIPATE: Just go to the contest website to start creating your own unique theme. We offer two ways to participate that cater to both newbie and expert designers. Newbie designers can choose elements of their theme from a number of options and auto-generate a unique theme. Budding and expert designers with Photoshop can download a psd file and customize every element of their Jennifer’s Body theme.
CONTEST DURATION: The contest will run from Monday August 31st to Thursday September 10th. On September 7th and 8th, go to the contest website and vote for the top themes. On September 9th vote between the top three finalists to pick the winning theme, which will be launched on September 10th.

cameron, for regular users, you can pick from preloaded taps, backgrounds, and shakes. For people with experience in Photoshop, they can download the PSD and edit it to their likings.

You have to strictly follow the rules if you want it to work: download the PSD file, edit it, export the individual assets using “Save For Web & Devices” and then submit a zip folder with all the png files.

Will the top theme be a default theme download or a weekly theme?
This would be a great opportunity for a “Default Theme Switcher” where users can customize the game to their needs. If this idea is considered then I think “Custom Default themes” should NOT have leaderboards because “1 theme may be better than another”

No joke, this movie was actually filmed at my school, that week they had to repaint the whole school and cover up all our posters, and installed these really bright and annoying lights all over the school, the filming was done last year right before summer holidayz

Maria, I used Macromedia Fireworks to edit the PSD file and have spent absolutely ages on the work. Is it possible to export the slices on this because I don’t have Photoshop and I would be incredibly gutted if all my hours of really hard work was all for nothing…
Is it no way possible at all to submit the PSD?? I know it probably wont be but I figured I should ask just so my work wasnt completely wasted.

You can try to install a free trial of photoshop and export the slices. If that doesn’t work send the PSD and we’ll see what we can do. Don’t worry, your hours of work won’t be for nothing!

It kind of only leaves me with the option of sending the PSD file instead which is kind of inconvenient for you guys, sorry.

You can not send the revenge mode in a different PSD because we need the slices, not the PSDs!
If for some reason it’s IMPOSSIBLE for you to send us the slices, submit ONE psd file and we’ll do our best to convert it into a Tap Tap Revenge theme.

Okay, that’s cool. I have it all on one PSD. I really really apreciate you trying to convert it into a theme for me, i’d be completely stuck otherwise.
I understand if it’s not possible incase it saves different or something, but I have kept it all in the exact same places the original images were on the PSD, so in theory, it should be good to go if the slices get exported.

Also, is it alright if I attach a txt file with a small theme configuration change? I just changed the color of the font so it appears black in normal mode, and white in revenge.

Hi, Maria. I love the Theme design you guys did and I am so happy we have a chance to do it too. Very bad luck I have to work late last night and I rushed to send my theme out without looking it. I made a mistake on the revenge mode and forgot to slice it. Is it possible to send me back zip file to fix it since I can’t get back to the office.

Ok… Show is still on, but I still have not received the email.
I will post the link to my theme once I get it. Through SSH I tried my theme, and it works amazingly, however my spinner was a bit messed up (thats what I get for trying to program it myself)… hopefully it will work out with the new theme!

No, the problem is if you want my theme, I don’t think that you can download my theme ontop of it. When I downloaded the Michael Jackson theme, it was black, but I could not download it again and update the theme.

The problem posibaly lies with you haveing your iPhone/iPod touch jailbroken. Usually when problems like this happens it’s corrected when Tapulous releases an almost identical track that replaces the one you allready downloaded. I never have problems on my iPod touch since it’s not jailbroken, even updated my software today to os 3.1.1. Runs smother than ever!

I’m starting to think this contest is rigged. First of all I tryed to submit my non-custom theme 6 times and it kept telling me it was invalid. Second, all of the hard working people who made custom themes can’t judge them on the site. I personaly haven’t seen one custom theme on there! I think this contest needs to have some compensation for all the hard working people who have been cheated out of this contest.

I don’t know the answer, but they put the custom themes on the voteing site. Which one’s yours? I’ve been voteing for a solid hour to catch you guys up with the rest. I love them all exept the bloody ones, just too much for me!

Mine looks like crap. That is not supposed to be the theme, what is up on the voting site is the LOADING SCREEN of my theme, it’d be nice if the TAPPERS would show -.-

That’s the thing. I sent in my zip, and when i got my link from the email, the theme was not the one i made, (it looked standard and it was not what i had made)
I assume that if my theme does not work in the email i got sent, then my theme does not work on the voting site, which means, i don’t really have a chance, and that’s really annoying since i spent alot of time on that to only have it not work at all.

OK, thank you Trekluver. Maybe, you can help me. I can only see the same 20-30 themes (most not custom themes) on the voting site in random mode, because I thought, there’s thousands of uploaded themes. Is this normal? I think not.

I think that it is an error that Tapulous made. Tapulous probably put some themes that had duplicates and put them on there. They did have a glitch with the custom themes as reported by Maria. Hope you can understand my English.

I tried to send my theme to Tapulous six (6) times and it would not go through. I think it is safe to say this contest was whacked and I don’t believe that even Tapulous can fix it now. I also wish they had not chosen a horror theme because it is hard for me to go to bed after I see stuff like that.
